No. 4 Bearcats dispatch Young Harris at home, 6-1

GREENWOOD – The No. 4-ranked Lander men's tennis team completed an unbeaten weekend on Sunday as the Bearcats knocked off Young Harris, 6-1, at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center. 

Lander (13-3, 5-1 PBC) swept through doubles play, led by Axel Cronje and Adam Elliget's 6-0 win at No. 1. Ozan Cildir and Omar El-Moslemany clinched the point at No. 2, winning 6-1. Eirik Groner and Philippe Courteau completed doubles action with a 6-3 win at the No. 3 spot. 

Aly Zaghloul opened singles play with a dominant effort on court six, winning 6-0, 6-1. Tommaso Rossin put Lander up 3-0 with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4 and Thomas De Negri's 6-0, 7-5 victory sealed the win. Young Harris (0-10, 0-5 PBC) managed a point before Cildir and Groner notched a pair of three-set wins. Cildir won 7-6, 4-6, 12-10 at No. 2, followed by Groner's 6-7, 6-2, 10-6 comeback. 

Lander steps out of PBC play on Wednesday as the Bearcats host North Greenville at 3:00 p.m.
