No. 7 men's soccer looks to clinch first-round bye against Clayton State

MORROW, Ga. – The seventh-ranked Lander men's soccer team will head Clayton State on Wednesday afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. match with a chance to secure a first-round bye in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament.

STORYLINES

• Lander (11-1-2, 4-1 PBC) can clinch at least a second-place finish in the conference standings with a win over the Lakers (2-9-2, 1-4 PBC). 

• Clayton State enters the match with a one-point lead over USC Aiken for the final spot in the PBC Tournament. 

• Lander owns a 19-8-3 all-time series lead over the Lakers, as the Bearcats defeated Clayton State twice last season. 

• The Bearcats have finished in the top-three of the league in each of the last three seasons.
