KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - The Lander men's golf team finished 11th overall to close out the Queens University Fall Invitational at The Club at Irish Creek.
Chris Fortenberry led the way for the Bearcats with a one-under 212 to finish in a tie for 15th overall. Jon Parker finished right behind as he tied for 19th with a score of 213. Valentin Peugnet and Roberto Garagorri finished tied for 51st at seven-over 220. Cameron Bell rounded out the Bearcat lineup in a tie for 91st place with a score of 231.
The Bearcats ended the event with a 13-over 865. Georgia Southwestern won the 18-team field at a 17-under 835, two strokes ahead of Lincoln Memorial, and six strokes in front of USC Aiken.
Lander's next tournament will be the Newberry Invitational on Feb. 17 as this past tournament is the last of the fall season.
