Men’s golf finishes fifth at the Jay Jennison Cup

ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA. - The Lander men's golf team posted a total score of 903 en route to a fifth-place finish at the Jay Jennison Cup at the par-72, 7,073-yard Palencia Club.

West Florida won the event at 12-over par, defeating Flagler by twelve strokes. Rollins College claimed third place.

Valentin Peugnet led the Bearcats throughout the week, finishing third with an even 216. Chris Fortenberry finished tied for 10th, posting all 74's for a 222 score.

Conor Cull finished at 17-over par to tie for 38th. Jon Parker finished tied for 52nd, and Cameron Bell finished tied for 54th.

The Bearcats will take a three-week break before heading to Palm Harbor, Fla., for the two-day Copperhead Championship on Oct. 14.
