ALBANY, Ga. – The Lander men's golf team is in eighth place after two rounds at the Hurricane Invitational.
The three-round, 13-team event will conclude on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,024-yard Doublegate Country Club.
Southern Arkansas holds the lead heading into Tuesday's final round, finishing with an even 576 total. Young Harris is four shots back in second, followed by Clayton State, who is currently nine strokes off the lead. Lander carded a 596 on Monday, opening with a 297 and shooting a 299 in round two.
Maxime Legros shot a 71 in round one and leads Lander with a 146 total, which puts in a tie for 13th place. Michael Brode is tied for 22nd, posting a pair of 74s for a 148 score. Roberto Garagorri carded two 75s to tie for 28th after two rounds. Conor Cull is tied for 38th, Jon Parker is tied for 50th, and Braydon Evans is tied for 57th. Georgia Southwestern's Vincent Norrman holds the individual lead with a 135, three shots ahead of Georiga College's Daniel Davis.
