Cleveland, Tenn. — Reigning Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year Josefine Winkle shot even par and finished 6th at the NCAA South Regional to punch her ticket to the NCAA National Championship in Winter Haven, Fla., beginning May 20th. Teammate Kajsa Lindqvist shot three-over-par to finish tied for 10th.
Winkle shot 71-69-76 for a score of 216 over the three days to earn her sixth top-10 finish of the spring. Josefine is the first Bearcat to advance to the NCAA National Championship since Hannah Stephenson in 2022.
Lindqvist shot 76-75-68 for her seventh top-10 of the year. Her bogey-free final round shot her up from a tie for 27th to a tie for 10th.
