GREENWOOD – The Lander Esports team had a busy week, with action in numerous events.
The Bearcats fell 1-0 to Northwestern State in League of Legends with Grayson Chelsted, Justin Mathis, Brennan Lowry, Nicolas Chan and John Tyndall representing the Blue and Gold on October 9.
Lander saw action in two events on Sunday, with losses in Hearthstone to the University of Maine and the University of Kentucky in League of Legends. Arianna Chan, Cyrus Kelly and Charlie Burger competed in Hearthstone while Chelsted, Mathis, Lowry Nicholas Chan and Tyndall saw action in LoL.
The Bearcats had another match in Hearthstone that unfortunately didn't go their way. Lander lost to King's College with Carlan, Kelly and Burger seeing action.
Tuesday featured a variety of events for the Bearcats. The Bearcats lost to Henderson in a conference match of Overwatch with Nathan Hamby, Joseph Skapin, Joseph Torres, Ryan Para and Sadie Rose Johns in action. Lander competed in two fall warmup matches in Lol, losing both to Point Park and Illinois Tech. In MECA action, Lander faced off against Limestone. The Bearcats fell 15-13 in Valorant while picking up wins in Rocket League (3-0) and Lol (Won by FF).
Wednesday saw the Bearcats fall to Clemson in a match of Rocket League 3-0 while defeating Niagara 1-0 in LoL.
Thursday was yet another busy day for Lander. The Bearcats defeated the College of Charleston 3-0 in Rocket League, 1-0 in Lol and by FF in overwatch. Lander fell to Charleston 1-0 in Lol and 3-0 in Smash Bros. The Bearcats also lost to Irvine College 1-0 in LoL.
