Lander bows to No. 4 Columbus State in PBC quarterfinals

FLORENCE, S.C. – The eighth-seeded Lander women's tennis team fell to No. 4-ranked and top-seeded Columbus State, 4-0, in the quarterfinals of the PBC tournament on Saturday afternoon at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center.

Lander (8-15) ended its season with its first postseason appearance since 2015 in head coach Samantha Pinchoff's inaugural season at the helm, while Columbus State (20-4) advances to the tournament semifinals.

The Bearcats recorded their highest win total since 2017 while tallying four road wins, the most for the proogram since 2016.
