Lander suffers 9-0 shutout loss at No. 4 Armstrong State

SAVANNAH, Ga.  The Lander women's tennis team fell to No. 4-ranked Armstrong State, 9-0, on Sunday afternoon in a Peach Belt Conference match at the Armstrong Tennis Complex.

Lander fell to 9-8 overall and 4-7 in the PBC, while the Pirates improved to 18-3, (10-1).

In singles play, No. 1 Lena Lutzeier (ARM) def. Ivanka Mocic (LUW) 6-2, 6-1; No. 2 Paula Boixader Roca (ARM) def. Yuriko Ono (LUW) 6-4, 3-6, (10-7); No. 3 Tatjana Stoll (ARM) def. Nelli Lius (LUW) 6-1, 6-1; No. 4 Alice Patch (ARM) def. Caroline Yodice (LUW) 6-1, 6-0; No. 5 Diana Stomlega (ARM) def. Julia Suzuki (LUW) 6-0, 6-0; and No. 6 Tamri Chalaganidze (ARM) def. Isabella Schulz (LUW) 6-0, 6-0. 

In doubles play, No. 1 Lutzeier/Boixader Roca (ARM) def. Yodice/Schulz (LUW) 8-0; No. 2 Stoll/Stomlega (ARM) def. Ono/Lius (LUW) 8-2; and No. 3 Patch/Chalaganidze (ARM) def. Mocic/Suzuki (LUW) 8-2.
