Women's tennis falls in conference match at Flager

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Lander women's tennis team earned one singles and one doubles win in a 7-2 road loss to No. 8 Flagler on Friday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center.

Lander fell to 9-7 overall and 4-6 in Peach Belt Conference play. Flagler improved to 14-3, (7-2).

In singles, No. 1 Lizanne Jinkertz (FLG) def. Ivanka Mocic (LUW) 6-1, 7-6 (6-1); No. 2 Mary Jo Nanti (FLG) def. Yuriko Ono (LUW) 6-1, 6-2; No. 3 Kelly Burge (FLG) def. Caroline Yodice (LUW) 6-0, 6-2; No. 4 Patrycja Maslanka (FLG) def. Nelli Lius (LUW) 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 10-3; No. 5 Felicitas Runkel (FLG) def. Isabella Schulz (LUW) 6-3, 6-3; and No. 6 Julia Suzuki (LUW) def. Hilary Hanton (FLG) 4-6, 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, No. 1 Nanti/Maslanka (FLG) def. Yodice/Schulz (LUW) 8-2; No. 2 Jinkertz/Burge (FLG) def. Ono/Lius (LUW) 8-4; and No. 3 Mocic/Suzuki (LUW) def. Hanton/Runkel (FLG) 8-2.
