GREENWOOD – The Lander women's tennis team fell to No. 38 Young Harris, 5-4, in Peach Belt Conference match at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.

Lander moves to 7-4 overall and 3-3 in the PBC. Young Harris improves to 11-4, (5-3).

In singles, No. 1 Yuriko Ono (LU) def. Eva Castiglioni (YHC) 6-2, 6-1; No. 2 Ivanka Mocic (LU) def. Elin Rundcrantz (YHC) 4-6, 6-2, 6-3; No. 3 Oriana Labaqui (YHC) def. Caroline Yodice (LU) 7-5, 6-0; No. 4 Laura Sanchez (YHC) def. Nelli Lius (LU) 6-2, 3-6, 6-3; No. 5 Julia Suzuki (LU) def. Carol Quevedo (YHC) 3-6, 6-3, 6-0; and No. 6 Maria Puerta (YHC) def. Isabella Schulz (LU) 6-0, 6-2.

In doubles, No. 1 Castiglioni/Rundcrantz (YHC) def. Schulz/Yodice (LU) 8-6; No. 2 Ono/Lius (LU) def. Puerta/Ana Rodriguez (YHC) 8-4; and No. 3 Sanchez/Labaqui (YHC) def. Mocic/Suzuki (LU) 8-5.
