GREENWOOD – The Peach Belt Conference announced on Thursday night that four players from the Lander women's soccer team were named to All-Conference team. Emily Jermstad, Victoria Lange, Chloe Le Franc and Brianna Taylor were selected to the All-PBC second team.
Lander's four all-conference selections mark the most for the program since 2014.
Jermstad has had a standout season as she has notched 24 points for the Bearcats. She's recorded seven goals and a team-high 10 assists, which is tied for most in the conference. The junior ranks third in the league in shots and her 24 points place her fifth in the PBC. The Bearcats are 11-0 this season in matches in which the Irmo, S.C., native records a point.
Lange, one of two seniors on the Bearcat roster, has started all 16 matches this season. The Bedford, N.Y., native has been a mainstay in the Lander lineup over the past two seasons, starting 32 consecutive matches and providing a veteran presence in the midfield
Le Franc has become one of Lander's top performers in her second season in Greenwood. A native of Nantes, France, the sophomore has scored three goals this season and added an assist.
Taylor, a sophomore from Delran, N.J., emerged as one of the conference's top playmakers, ranking sixth in the PBC in goals and assists. In 20 career matches, Taylor has scored 13 goals and registered six assists. She is tied for the team lead with 24 points and is third in the league in game-winning goals.
The Bearcats will learn their postseason fate on Monday night when the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Selection Show airs at 6:30 p.m.
