Women's soccer travels to Clayton State for conference clash on Wednesday night

MORROW, Ga. – The Lander women's soccer team will look to earn its first conference win on Wednesday night as the Bearcats travel to take on Clayton State at 7:00 p.m.

STORYLINES:

• Lander (5-1-1, 0-1-1 PBC) is facing its second road conference test in five days after battling 4th-ranked Columbus State on Saturday. 

• Clayton State (3-1-2, 1-1 PBC) is playing its third home match in league play, having split with Georgia Southwestern and Flager. 

• The Bearcats currently rank second in the PBC with a 0.83 goal-against average. 

• The Lakers own the highest shot-on-goal percentage in conference play this season, firing on target in 65.7% of their shot attempts against PBC opponents.  

• Lander trails the overall series 9-10-3 and defeated the Lakers 1-0 in Greenwood last season. 

• Emily Jermstad leads the conference with five assists this season.
