Uremovich selected Peach Belt Player of the Week

GREENWOOD - Rachel Uremovich, a sophomore on the Lander women's golf team, was selected the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week for matches played last week.

Uremovich, Hilton Head, shot a one-under-par 143 (69-74) and placed second overall at the two-day, two-round, 18-team Agnes McAmis Memorial on Monday and Tuesday at the Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn. She held the first-day lead and paced Lander to a third-place overall team finish.

Her opening-round 69 is tied for the second-lowest single round played in the Peach Belt this season and led her to her highest finish in six events so far this year.
