Women's basketball welcomes Young Harris Wednesday night

GREENWOOD – The Lander women's basketball team (13-3, 8-2 PBC) returns to the friendly confines of Finis Horne Arena for the first time in three games as the Bearcats face Young Harris (6-11, 3-7 PBC) on Wednesday night in a Peach Belt Conference game at 5:30 p.m.

• The Bearcat defense has held 10 of its 13 opponents to under 65 points. Lander yielded just 56 to Clayton State and held the Lakers to just 21.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc. 

• Senior Breshay Johnson needs just two points to pass Ty'Hesha Reynolds for second place on Lander's all-time scoring list.  

• Lander knocked off Young Harris 72-50 on the road on Dec. 14.

• Lander is leading the PBC in free-throw shooting with a 75.8 percent mark at the charity stripe. 

• The Bearcats boast three of the top four players in the PBC in steals. Jessica Harris has 44 on the season, second-most in the league, Chelsea Mitchell has 42 and Christal Williams has 38 on the year.
