Lander places 13th in final race before PBC Championship

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Lander men's cross country team ran to a 13th-place finish in the 18-team field at the Bobcat Invitational on Saturday morning. 

The Bearcat men were led by Brad Daniels, who placed 103rd with a time of 29:10. Trent Powers finished in 29:36 and Zach Hiott clocked a time of 30:00. Chase Couch recorded a time of 30:28 for Lander. 

McKenna Burrows, Samonzy Wiggins, Sam Smith and Evin Fortenberry all finished within 30 seconds of each other, with times of 32:44, 33:00, 33:04 and 33:13, respectively. 

Joshua Chapman ran a time of 33:31 and Aidan Kramer finished in 37:19. 

Lander will run in the Peach Belt Conference Championship in Beech Island, S.C., on Nov. 3.
