GREENWOOD – Lander tennis players Marc Hofer, Omar El-Moslemany, Eirik Groner and David Korsten were named to the All-Peach Belt Conference team which was announced Thursday night at a banquet at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C.
Hofer, a senior from Bern, Switzerland, and El-Moslemany, a sophomore from Cairo, Egypt, were named to the first team as a doubles team. The duo combined to go 10-8 on the season at the No. 1 doubles spot.
Groner, a sophomore from Oslo, Norway, completed an unbeaten regular season in singles play, going 18-0 and winning 13 matches at the No. 3 spot.
Korsten, a junior from Cologne, Germany, who is ranked No. 35 nationally, is 9-5 in singles, including 6-3 at No. 1, and 3-2 at No. 2.
