GREENWOOD  After seeing its 13-match winning streak snapped in a narrow defeat at Armstrong State on Sunday, the No. 5-ranked Lander men's tennis team responded with a dominant 8-1 non-conference victory over Limestone College at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.

Lander improves to 15-3 on the season, while Limestone falls to 10-6 this spring. 

In singles, No. 1 Jules Vauthier (LU) def. Federico Garnier (LC) 6-3, 1-6, 6-4; No. 2 Eirik Groner (LU) def. Stefano Soares (LC) 6-0, 6-2; No. 3 Alexandre Springer (LU) def. Guillermo Ortega (LC) 6-3, 6-4; No. 4 Ozan Cildir (LU) def. Pierluigi Neri (LC) 6-2, 6-3; No. 5 Luka Stanec (LC) def. Marc Hofer (LU) 6-0, 7-5; and No. 6 Paul Arslanian (LU) def. Enrique Moreno (LC) 6-4, 6-2.

In doubles, No. 1 Marc Hofer/Omar El-Moslemany (LU) def. Garnier/Soares (LC) 8-0; No. 2 Vauthier/Cildir (LU) def. Ortega/Neri (LC) 8-0; No. 3 Groner/Charles Baron (LU) def. Stanec/Moreno (LC) 8-1.
