No. 5 Lander defeats rival Erskine, 7-2, for 11th straight win

DUE WEST, S.C. – The No. 5-ranked Lander men's tennis team continued its winning ways on Wednesday afternoon, earning its 11th consecutive victory with a 7-2 win over rival Erskine in a non-conference match.

Lander improves to 12-2 on the year, while Erskine falls to 1-14.

In singles, No. 1 Eirik Groner (LU) def. Andres Argenal (EC) 6-2, 6-0; No. 2 Nikolai Suhr (EC) def. Marc Hofer (LU) 6-3, 6-1; No. 3 Ozan Cildir (LU) def. Ross Edgar (EC) 6-0, 6-1; No. 4. Omar El-Moslemany (LU) def. Isaac Gideons (EC) 6-1, 6-0; and No. 5. Paul Arslanian (LU) def. Tyler Burgess (EC) 6-1, 6-0. No. 6 Liam Roos (LU) won by default.

In doubles, No. 1. Ritwik Bhriguvanshi/Suhr) (EC) def. Hofer/El-Moslemany (LU) 8-4; No. 2 Vauthier/Cildir (LU) def. Argenal/Edgar (EC) 8-2; and No. 3 Roos/Luis Salcedo (LU) def. Burgess/Gideons (EC) 8-1.
