GREENWOOD  The No. 4-ranked Lander men's tennis team posted its second shutout of the season Thursday when the Bearcats cruised past Emmanuel, 9-0, in a non-conference match at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

Lander improves to 7-2 overall, while Limestone slides to 3-13.

In singles, No. 1 David Korsten (LU) def. Juan Carlos Romero (EC) 6-2, 6-2; No. 2 Jules Vauthier (LU) def. Jorge Canadas (EC) 6-0, 6-2; No. 3 Eirik Groner (LU) def. Lucas Pereira (EC) 6-1, 6-2; No. 4 OzanCildir (LU) def. Enrique Alcacer (EC) 6-1, 6-1; No. 5 Alexandre Springer (LU) def. Guillaume Watteeuw (EC) 6-0, 6-1; and No. 6 Omar El-Moslemany (LU) def. Dustin Dotson (EC) 6-1, 6-2.

In doubles, No. 1 Marc Hofer/El-Moslemany (LU) def. Braden Anglin/Pereira (EC) 8-2; No. 2 Korsten/Groner (LU) def. Romero/Alacer (EC) 8-3; and No. 3 Liam Roos/Charles Baron (LU) def. Watteeuw/Canadas (EC) 8-6.

Lander will next host USC Aiken at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18, at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.
