Jordan Skelton adds First Team Scholar All-American accolades

GREENWOOD – Senior Jordan Skelton continued to accumulate postseason awards this week, as the United Soccer Coaches announced him as a first team Scholar All-American for the second time in as many seasons.

Skelton is the only player of the 26 honored across three teams to be a repeat selection.

The Scholar All-America honor combines a student-athlete's academic and athletic achievements, with eligible candidates earning at least a 3.30 grade-point average.

Skelton, a business major from Newcastle, England, boasts a 3.49 GPA. Earlier this season the United Soccer Coaches and Division II Conference Commissioner's Association tabbed him as a consensus All-American after leading Lander to an NCAA Southeast Region title with a team-high 17 points and eight goals, while anchoring one of the nation's stingiest defenses.
