ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The No. 16-ranked Lander men's golf team stands at 598 through 36 holes at the Peach Belt Conference Championship, keeping the Bearcats in a tie for fourth place heading into Sunday's final round at the Slammer & Squire Course.
During Saturday's round, the Bearcats carded a 300 to remain in a tie with host Flagler at the par-72, 6-939-yard layout. USC Aiken posted a 277 during its second round to move to 14-under for the tournament. Columbus State sits in second place at 1-under, while Young Harris is one stroke ahead of Lander and Flagler for third place.
USC Aiken's Johnson Holliday wrapped up the day atop the individual leaderboard with a total of 134, seven strokes ahead of Georgia Southwestern's Vincent Norrman.
Lander's Michael Brodie, Conor Richards and Jon Parker each carded 2-over 74s on the day. Brodie is tied for 11th, Richards is in a tie for 19th and Parker is tied for 26th entering the tournament's final round. Garrett Atkinson is tied for 31st and James Bartlett sits in a tie for 35th.
The Bearcats will be paired with Georgia Southwestern and Flagler for tomorrow's final round and will begin play at 8:45 a.m. Live scoring for the event is available at golfstat.com.
