No. 19 Lander sits in seventh through 36 holes at Valdosta

VALDOSTA, Ga. – The No. 19-ranked Lander men's golf team posted a 9-over 306 during the second round of play on Monday at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.

The Bearcats, who entered the round in second place, fell to seventh as Newberry and West Florida sit atop the leaderboard. Lynn is third, while Florida Southern and Barry are tied for fourth. Florida Tech sits one stroke ahead of Lander in sixth. 

Jon Parker shot the best round of the day for the Bearcats, firing a 74 to move into a tie for fourth on the individual leaderboard. Conor Richards posted a 78 to tie for 12th. 

Michael Brodie's 83 puts him in a tie for 60th, while James Bartlett carded a 75 to move into a tie for 65th. Garrett Atkinson tied for 77th with a 79. 

Michael Brodie finished three strokes back of Parker to tie for 13th place. Garrett Atkinson carded a 76 to tie for 67th and James Bartlett tied for 80th with a 79. 

The Bearcats will begin their final round tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with Rollins and Valdosta State. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
