No. 7 Bearcats tied for 14th at South/Southeast Regional

FLORENCE, Ala.  The No. 7-ranked Lander men's golf team shot a 301 on Tuesday to move into a tie for 14th on the second day of play at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional at the par-72, 7,407-yard Fighting Joe at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

Lander was led by a two-under 70 from sophomore Michael Brodie, who registered birdies on eight, eleven and eighteen.

Freshmen Jon Parker and Conor Richards carded a 74 and a 78, respectively. The Bearcats also counted a 79 from junior James Bartlett. Senior Michal Pospisil finished with an 80.

West Florida holds the team lead with an 11-under 565 (286-279) and leads second-place Lynn by eight strokes. Florida Southern sits in third place at 11 strokes back. 

The final round of the regional begins Wednesday. Lander is paired with Young Harris and Nova Southeastern and will tee off at 8:20 a.m.
