No. 17 golf finishes third at Bobcat Invitational

EATONTON, Ga.  The No. 17-ranked Lander men's golf team finished third of 17 teams Tuesday in the two-day, three-round Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College at the par-70 Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee. The third-place finish marked Lander's best showing of the spring. 

Lynn University won the overall team title with a low 872 and was followed by: 2. West Florida 878, 3. Lander 883, 4. North Alabama 886, 5. Nova Southeastern 888, 6. Florida Southern 896, 7. Georgia College 898, 8. Barry 899, 9. USC Aiken 904, 10. Rollins 906, 11. Georgia Southwestern 908, 12. Valdosta State 911, 13. Saint Leo 912, 14. Columbus State 921, 15. Clayton State 923, 16. West Georgia 929, and 17. Armstrong State 934.

Individually for Lander, Jon Parker (71-78-68) tied for third with 217; Michal Pospisil (75-75-69) tied for ninth with 219; Michael Brodie (74-74-74) tied for 19th with 222; James Bartlett (77-75-74) tied for 28th; and Conor Richards (78-77-77) tied for 55th with 232.
