Bearcat golf tied for fifth at Bobcat Invitational

EATONTON, Ga.  The No. 17-ranked Lander men's golf team is tied for fifth place of 17 teams Monday after the first two rounds of the two-day, three-round Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College at the par-70, Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee.

Lynn leads the team competition with a 20-over-par 580 and is followed by: 2. West Florida 586, 3. North Alabama 592, 4. Nova Southeastern 595, T-5. Lander, Florida Southern and Barry 598, 8. Georgia College 599, 9. Georgia Southwestern 601, 10. USC Aiken 605, 11. Saint Leo 606, 12. Rollins 610, 13. Valdosta State 613, 14. Armstrong State 618, 15. Clayton State 619, 16. West Georgia 625, and 17. Columbus State 626.

Individually for Lander, Michael Brodie (74-74) is tied for 17th at 148; Jon Parker (71-78) is tied for 19th at 149, Michal Pospisil (75-75) is tied for 22nd at 150; James Bartlett (77-75) is tied for 34th at 152; and Conor Richards (78-77) is tied for 54th at 155.

The third and final round will be played Tuesday.
