Baseball sees season end in loss at No. 17 North Georgia

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Lander baseball team saw its season come to an end on Sunday with a 13-1 loss to No. 17-ranked North Georgia.

Lander (18-32, 13-17 PBC), which entered the day needing a win and a Georgia Southwestern loss to advance to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament, fell behind 7-0 to the Nighhawks (31-16, 18-9 PBC) after two innings, managing only a Vincent Addona home run in the third inning. North Georgia's offense score in six of the eight innings it came to the plate, outhitting Lander 14-5 on the day. 

Colton Yeager extended his hitting streak to six games, while Carson Jones, who ends his career as Lander's all-time home run leader with 34, went 1-for-4 on the day.
