Bearcats tabbed to finish seventh in Peach Belt Conference

GREENWOOD – The Lander baseball team has been picked to finish seventh in the Peach Belt Conference by the league's coaches, it was announced today.

Georgia College and UNC Pembroke tied at the top of the league with 88 points. Georgia College received four first-place votes while UNC Pembroke picked up three. North Georgia also earned three votes to win the league title and finished third in the poll. USC Aiken finished fourth with Columbus State in fifth. Flagler earned the final first-place vote and ranked sixth in the poll. Augusta checks in behind the Bearcats with Francis Marion in ninth. Georgia Southwestern and Young Harris round out the poll. 

Lander is set to open the 2018 season next week at home with a doubleheader against Mount Olive on Feb. 3.
