Bearcats In The Pros: Lusignan continues tear, Bearcat pitchers improve to 8-0

GREENWOOD  The professional baseball season is under way for four former Bearcats. Lander has three players in Class A and one in Class AA. 

Will Jones -- P, Staten Island Yankees (A-Short - New York Yankees)
Season: 2-0, 1.23 ERA, 9 G, 0 SV, 14.2 IP, 13 H, 5 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 8 K
Jones retired the lone batter he faced in Staten Island's loss to Aberdeen on Wednesday night to extend his career-long scoreless streak to 8.2 innings. 

Colby Lusignan -- 1B, Jupiter Hammerheads (A-Advanced - Miami Marlins) 
Season: 101 G, 59 R, 105 H, 26 2B, 3 3B, 14 HR, 65 RBI, 3 SB, .273 AVG
The reigning Florida State League Player of the Week, Lusignan recorded multi-hit games in four of Jupiter's six contests last week. He is 8-for-13 over since Friday and his batting an astounding .472 over his last 10 games.  

Mason McCullough -- P, Jackson Generals (AA - Arizona Diamondbacks) 
Season: 4-0, 2.05 ERA, 41 G, 4 SV, 48.1 IP, 25 H, 11 R, 11 ER, 31 BB, 80 K
McCullough made two scoreless appearances this week for Jackson and improved his record to 4-0 with 1.2 shutout innings against divison-leader Chattanooga. 

Brandon White -- P, Florida Fire Frogs (A-Advanced - Atlanta Braves) 
Season: 2-0, 2.25 ERA, 29 G, 10 SV, 48.0 IP, 43 H, 17 R, 12 ER, 12 BB, 46 K
White owns Florida's top strikeout-to-walk ratio, striking out nine batters while walking just two since joining the Fire Frogs.
