Bearcats In The Pros: League honors for White, Lusignan

GREENWOOD  The professional baseball season is under way for five former Bearcats. Lander has five players in Class A. 

Zach Daly -- OF, Batavia Muckdogs (A-Short - Miami Marlins)
Season: 0 G, 0 R, 0 H, 0 2B, 0 3B, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 SB, .000 AVG 
Lander's single season home run king begins his 2017 campaign on Monday night with the Batavia Muckdogs in the New York-Penn League. Daly spent last season in the Gulf Coast League, where he tallied 20 hits and 14 RBI. 

Will Jones -- P, Staten Island Yankees (A-Short - New York Yankees)
Season: 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 0 G, 0 SV, 0.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
Jones opens the season with Staten Island in the New York-Penn League after spending last year with Pulaski. The former Bearcat ace earned two wins in 15 appearances last season in the Appalachian League, striking out 18 batters while walking just five.

Colby Lusignan -- 1B, Greensboro Grasshoppers (A - Miami Marlins) 
Season: 60 G, 31 R, 57 H, 14 2B, 3 3B, 6 HR, 37 RBI, 1 SB, .248 AVG
Lusignan earned South Atlantic League Player of the Week honors for June 5-11 after batting .333 with three doubles, two home runs and five RBI. The first baseman has hit safely in eight of his last 11 contests.

Mason McCullough -- P, Visalia Rawhide (A-Advanced - Arizona Diamondbacks) 
Season: 2-0, 2.12 ERA, 26 G, 4 SV, 34.0 IP, 19 H, 8 R, 8 ER, 17 BB, 60 K
McCullough has made 10 consecutive scoreless appearances out of the bullpen for Visalia, surrendering just one hit since May 22. The right-hander has multiple strikeouts in each of his last five appearances.

Brandon White -- P, Rome Braves (A - Atlanta Braves) 
Season: 1-0, 1.67 ERA, 20 G, 8 SV, 32.1 IP, 29 H, 11 R, 6 ER, 9 BB, 27 K
White was selected to the South Atlantic League Southern Division All-Star Team after ranking in the top five in the league in saves through the first half of the season. He is Rome's top arm out of the bullpen, leading the Braves in appearances and saves.
