Lander's Rogers selected PBC Pitcher of the Week

GREENWOOD - Lander's Colton Rogers, a junior from Coral Springs, Fla., was named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week it was announced today by the league office.

Rogers, who has earned the PBC honor twice this season, tossed a complete-game shutout as Lander finished a three-game sweep of UNC Pembroke on Sunday.

The lefty made two appearances on the week, pitching a total of 12 shutout innings, allowing a total of six hits and one walk with seven strikeouts. He began with three inning of work against Anderson, allowing one hit and one walk with two strikeouts. He then got the start against the Braves and did not allow more than one hit in any inning. He retired the side in order three times, struck out five and issued no walks.

Now 6-1 on the season, Rogers is tied for fifth in the PBC in wins.
