GREENWOOD - The No. 25-ranked Lander baseball team scattered 11 hits and won its 13th consecutive game Wednesday night in defeating Southern Wesleyan, 10-1, in a non-conference game at Dolny Stadium.

The Bearcats improve to 21-5 overall, while Southern Wesleyan dips to 10-15.

Nathan Blaylock (2-0) earned the win for Lander in one inning of work, while the Warrior's Andrew Howard was tagged with the loss after striking out three, walking four and allowing eight earned runs on nine hits in 3.2 innings. The Bearcats used nine pre-determined pitchers in the game.

After a scoreless first inning, the Bearcats racked up five runs in the second on Matt White's two-RBI single, followed by Taylor Kellner's three-run triple to right field.

Lander stretched the lead to 7-0 in the third on Will Jones' two-run single to center field that plated Mason Dodd and John Mangum. The Bearcats made it 10-0 in the fourth with Thomas Berry's two-run homer to right field and Dodd's score on an error.

The Warriors avoided the shutout in the fifth inning after Matt Costa's right field double drove in DiMarkus Sanders to cut the margin to 10-1.

For Lander, Kellner went 3-for-5 with three RBI, while Dodd batted 2-for-3.
