LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced today its Division II Men's Lacrosse All-Region Teams. Mitchell Festi of the Lander men's lacrosse team was named to the South Region Third Team as a defenseman.

Festi, a junior who was tabbed a First Team All-Peach Belt Conference member last month, finished his first year at Lander with 26 caused turnovers and 51 ground balls. Each of those marks placed Festi inside the top-three in the conference by season's end.

He had three games with three caused turnovers (Coker, North Greenville and Belmont Abbey), 10 games with multiple caused turnovers, and for good measure, Festi scored his first career goal at NGU in March.

Festi also earned the PBC Defensive Player of the Week award on Feb. 9.
